First you will need to get a grooming kit that has a body brush, curry comb, face brush, sponge, and a hoof pick. Each horse should have it's own grooming kit.
Step 1
First take the curry comb and whisk away any dust or dirt. Do not do this on boney area or on the face.
Step 2
Take the body brush and start on one side and go around the horse. Make sure to brush the way the hair is growing.
Step 3
Slip the lead halter on the horses neck so you can groom the horses face with the face brush. Be soft while doing this, and don't brush to close to the horses eyes or nose.
Step 4
Take the sponge and get it a little damp. Then clean the nose and the eye area.
Step 5
Last take the hoof pick and scrape out all the mud, dirt, and rocks that may be stuck in the horse's hoofs. Do this to all four hoofs.
